About Anne

        The artwork of Anne Igou

I grew up in a very artistic family and am humbled to say that the desire to create is in my genes. I've been passionate about art since I was a young child and for years I struggled to find an artistic medium that would allow me fully express my creative desires. I have been making Jewelry and working with Polymer Clay for 15 years now and am glad to say that I am no longer hindered by these constraints.

I have been a member of the Las Vegas Polymer Clay Guild www.lvpcg.com for 8 years. As an in independent designer for KatoPoly Clay, I have had the immense opportunity to appear as a return Guest Artist on HGTV's, The Carol Duvall Show and the DIY Network shows:, Jewelry Making and Craft Lab. My passion for working with Polymer Clay has always been nurtured by the artistic genius of world renown Polymer Clay Artist extraordinaire; Lisa Pavelka, my foster mum. With her expertise, I was taught the basics of Polymer Clay and guided into creating my own personal style.

My love for creating Jewelry started in my early teens. Like any teenager, I was eager to express my individuality through physical adornment. When shopping, I rarely was able to find Jewelry that captured my personal style. So I decided to put my ideas to work in creating the type of Jewelry I wanted to wear.

I was soon hooked! The possibilities of creating Jewelry were limitless. I instantly started spending all of my hard earned (minimum wage) salary on beads, findings and other embellishments. In High School I became friends with two wonderful girls who had a love for Jewelry making as well. Most teenagers, go to the mall, we made Jewelry.  I'm proud to say that my girls, Katie Rose and Paige have been my best friends ever since.

Now, 15 years later,  Its nice to know that I never need to go shopping for the perfect earrings to match my new dress. I can make them.

In recent years, I have kept busy creating custom Jewelry and Masks for friends and strangers alike. I have also enjoyed teaching these mediums to others. I feel that the next most rewarding thing to creating, is to show others that they have the ability to create as well.

As a resident of Las Vegas for 11 years, I embrace the fun and whimsy in life. I truly hope that this passion comes through in my artwork.
